What type of touring will you be doing?

There is so much opportunity for a new lifestyle out there that narrowing it down to one type is almost imossible so we think the best thing to do is not to focus just on one type and to leave your options open - all of the time.

You may be thinking that you are just going to take off to:

  • sit by the beach all day getting a tan;
  • get away to the bush to enjoy the peace and serenity, or to go bird watching or fossicking or...;
  • get off the beaten track by taking the roads less travelled;
  • tick off the items on your bucket list;
  • find your ideal lifestyle;
  • find exactly where you really want to live the rest of your life;
  • and the list goes on.

Once you figure out how you are going to start and to get out of your current life (see our articles - why and preparations) you can take almost any road (no pun intended) you like. You could start by getting it all together and then sitting by the beach until you figure the next bit out, either way you probably need to realise that there is no ONE way to do this because ALL options are available to you ALL of the time.

Unlike living in a house and going to a normal job everyday you are now in a postion where you can change your life and surroundings when you like and almost instantly. If the beach idea gets too hot or crowded then you can go and live a bush lifestyle for a while then try something else when that wears thin, or set up a life where you do all of the things that you like on a rotating basis so that you never get bored and life having and eating your cake all the time.

There really is only one thing to realise and that is your lifestyle on the road is as fixed as you want it and it can be changed exactly how and when you decide to.

We are sure you will have questions we haven't addressed so feel free to contact us to ask.

Mark Twain once said "...years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - and so we will.
